De Hardman: tomorrow’s superstar of Nigeria today

Talented and lion-hearted De Hardman, the Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA) wrestler in the middle weight category, is a young wrestler of note who is fast earning himself a reputation for making life miserable for his numerous opponents around the Nigerian wrestling scene and beyond.

25 year old De Hardman, whose real name is Tochukwu Johnson, was nurtured by the legendary Jimmy Palm “The African Dream” and he was inspired into joining the league of Nigerian pro wrestlers. After years of trying to figure out how to break into the mat sport, he was introduced to Jimmy Palm who also runs the African Wrestling Organization (AWO) who trained him to a standard any wrestler can dream of.

This determined wrestler hails from Okpulumuobu, Osisioma Ngwa Local government area of Abia State, a state in the southeastern part of Nigeria with Umuahia as state capital. The major commercial city Aba, formerly a British colonial government outpost in the region, is also one of the most populated areas in Nigeria. Abia State was created in 1991 from part of Imo State.

De Hardman, who would like to compete internationally, has been training hard to showcase himself that what those international talents can do, he can indeed do better when he gets down to the midst of roughest and toughest talents in the grunt and groan sport with modern training gadgets at his disposal coupled with the experience he has acquired back home in Nigeria.

‘’Wrestling is my passion. I dream wrestling, sleep wrestling and eat wrestling. I have been watching professional wrestling from childhood and I have many wrestlers as role models but Roman Reigns stands out. He has no rival with me. Come sun come rain I will vote Roman as the best among the best. Roman is an Idol. I sincerely cherish the American professional wrestler, actor, and former professional gridiron football player. I love him with a passion and he is indeed my role model,’’ declared De Hardman.
