The tournament was decided in one night, with the first round winners battling it out for a chance to compete in the fatal four way elimination bout to crown the winner of this years World Cup. We’re able to share the news that Crowchester was able to walk out of the event as the winner of the 2022 Light Heavyweight World Cup.
The final match came down to Crowchester, Michael Oku, Aytac Bahar and Maverick. Reports from fans in attendance indicate that this final match was very well done and that all four competitors came out of it looking great. Maverick would be eliminated first, followed then by the tournament’s resident powerhouse Aytac Bahar. The two finalists in the bout were Michael Oku, who is also known as the OJMO, and Crowchester.

While Michael Oku’s high flying acumen was on display and looked mighty impressive, it wasn’t enough to put away Crowchester who would eventually come out on top. Crowchester’s win could potentially be the biggest win by a wrestler representing Kazakhstan in quite some time and possibly ever. There is some speculation that with the tournament win, Crowchester is next in line for a shot at Mike D Vecchio’s GWF Berlin Title as that has become a tradition of sorts following the World Cup tournament. There has been no official announcement regarding that potential title shot from the GWF.
Congratulations to Crowchester on his big tournament win! You can check out the entire event for free on the GWF YouTube page or by clicking play below.
