Michel Noudem of Cameroon Challenges Champion Power Lee of Nigeria To a Rematch

‘’Cameroon is set to host Africa’’ – Ndo, FECACATCH President
‘’Le Matraqueur’’ Michel Nounde of Cameroon, a national pro wrestling figure in the Central African nation, has challenged the current PWA Champion and title holder in the Heavyweight Category, Godspower Ikpide, popularly called Mr. Peace Power Lee ‘’De Great,’’ in a wrestling bout scheduled to be held at Palais Des Sports, Yaoundé, Cameroun on the 30th April 2021.
The Secretary General of the Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), the continental pro wrestling body established in 2015 to see to the development and growth of wrestling in Africa which has been serving as the mouthpiece of the continent on the sport, Mr. Olusesan Olukoya, disclosed this while interacting with newsmen in Lagos, Nigeria over the weekend.
Mr. Olusesan Olukoya had described the wrestling bout between Michel Noudem and Mr. Peace Power Lee as an important and timely competition the PWA management has been looking forward to for a while and which will attract wrestling fans across the African nations to Cameroon, where lots of wrestlers have emerged from before now as the nation is still breeding new talents. Olukoya noted that the championship competition will be full of entertainment with enthusiasm as other side attractions have been packaged for wrestling fans to have a nice time at the gathering.
According to the President of the Cameroon Pro Wrestling Federation, who is also the first Vice Chairman of Pro Wrestling Africa, Captain Emmanuel Ndo, who is full of excitement about the upcoming event, ‘’lots of side attractions will be seen at the timely African Heavyweight championship as Cameroon is set to host Africa. We are indeed prepared for this and we are ready. Cameroon is set to host Africa. We are ready to host the professional wrestling world. The contributions of Cameroon as a nation to the history of African pro wrestling cannot be [understated]. Ministry of Sports in Cameroon as well as other corporate bodies are into this with us, so we are indeed good to go’’ he explained in an interview.
Ndo concluded that “we have put in place all necessary COVID 19 precautionary measures in accordance to the international rules and regulations so as to have a hitch free competition in Yaoundé, Cameroon.”
Power Lee and Michel Noudem competed for the PWA Heavyweight title on the 19th of September 2015 and the Nigerian defeated Noudem then in front of his compatriots in Yaoundé. Lee won that bout and brought the PWA African Heavyweight Title to Nigeria and successfully defended it by defeating his challenger, Marvellous Buffalo of Angola, on May 1st 2016, at Asaba township stadium, Asaba, Delta State in Nigeria. Power Lee is now being challenged by Michel Noudem of Cameroon again.
Other wrestlers on the bill for the Battle of Yaounde II are: Wolf NDA who will slug it out with Buffalo in a showcase fight, Kirikou, L’animal, Black Tiger, Tigre, Bishop and Christpine.
