Costa Rica Wrestling Embassy releases 2022 first quarter calendar, announces NJPW star for 8th Anniversary Show

The Central American company has released their calendar for the first quarter of 2022. The calendar includes five shows with four coming over the next two months with all shows set to take place at their home base of the CWE Arena in San Jose, Costa Rica. The first February show, which will be the company’s return to action after being forced to cancel their last January event, will take place this weekend on February 5th. The last show listed on the agenda is set to be the biggest of the announced upcoming events as it is set to be CWE’s 8th Anniversary event.

As part of the calendar release, Costa Rica Wrestling Embassy also announced that New Japan Pro Wrestling star TJP will be heading to Costa Rica to wrestle at the 8th Anniversary event which is set for March 19th, 2022.

CWE has been known to bring in big international wrestling stars in the past. Some of the CWE’s past guests have included Cody Rhodes, Ricochet, The Young Bucks, Zack Sabre Jr., and recently Rocky Romero. The fact that CWE has been able to bring in international stars again is a good sign for a return to some semblance of normalcy for the Central American company. We’ll keep an eye out for any other upcoming announcements regarding the CWE’s big 8th Anniversary show in March as we get a little closer.
