Magnum McLaren, a Canadian Heavyweight Champion who is a third generation talent, eyes Africa

From time immemorial, international wrestlers have been storming the shores of Nigeria for active professional wrestling shows. Even from the late 50s, before some of us were born. While some current and aspiring international talents are also nurturing the idea of showcasing themselves on the shores of Africa, the world’s second largest and second most populous continent after Asia, in both cases where there are lots of pro wrestling opportunities yet to be tapped into till date, and which we are trying to explore in the years ahead.

The coming to Africa in the future of Magnum McLaren, a generational talent and actor who is a Canadian superstar, would not be an exemption as he is a great talent who hails from Sudbury, Ontario in Canada, a nation that has produced world talents like Bret Hart. Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Bret "Hitman" Hart is a Canadian icon who was a seven-time World Champion and captured 32 championship titles, including the triple crown of top titles in both WWF and WCW. Other Canadian top stars include Edge, Chris Jericho, Trish Stratus, Christian, Owen Hart and so on.

Though Magnum is a teenage third generation pro wrestler, the charismatic young star has traveled across Canada, his country, the USA and Mexico where he has had much success. The 6'2 and 224lbs in weight talented grappler is also an experienced actor having worked on a Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson project, among many other acting credits, as he has been an actor since he was a child. Entertaining fans young and old, and also looking forward to a bright pro wrestling future.

Magnum, who sees himself as the future of the wrestling industry, started competiting professionally three years ago but his achievements and landmarks within that frame can not be easily overlooked. He was an AAA star hockey player and he started wrestling when he was 13 years old. He was trained by his father Big Daddy Diamond, a skillful trainer who also doubles as his manager and bodyguard. His great grandfather was the original Great Malenko in the 1950s, so Magnum has wrestling running in his veins from generation to generation.

Magnum, who had El Favorito as his first opponent, listed Cowboy James Storm as his toughest opponent to date. The skillful Canadian grappler who has Tripple H as the personality he wishes to meet, has toured some nations in his career including Puerto Rico, USA, Mexico and Canada and is now focused on Africa. He is the Canadian Heavyweight Champion who also has the Southern Jr Championship title, the DWA Tag Team Championship belt as well as the MAGNUM World Championship in view and lists Wagyu Beef as his favourite food, water as his favourite drink and Green (Money) as his favourtite colour while his favourite wrestler(s) over the years are Triple H, Curt Hennig, Buddy Rogers, Ray Stevens and too many to be named!
