The Wolf NDA wins AAPW World Championship, his first American championship belt

After traveling over multiple continents and crossing the Atlantic Ocean to follow his dreams of becoming a world champion, things are starting to pay off for The Wolf NDA. The Wolf made his debut for the American Academy of Pro Wrestling based out of Austin, Texas this past Saturday night, July 30, 2022, in a match for the newly created AAPW World Heavyweight Championship against The Atomic Dory at Heatwave. Dory and The Wolf put on a good match that saw the action go back and forth between the two wrestlers. The crowd on hand was firmly in the corner of The Wolf throughout the course of the match and were delighted when The Wolf NDA planted Atomic Dory with a swaying, standing uranage for the three count. You can check out the full AAPW World Heavyweight Championship bout below, courtesy of The Wolf’s Facebook page.

This championship title belt is a big milestone on The Wolf NDA’s journey in pro wrestling. Haling from Yaoundé, Cameroon, The Wolf had established himself as one of Africa’s absolute best pro wrestlers prior to making the journey to the United States. Among The Wolf’s accomplishments in Africa were challenging for the FECACATCH (based out of Cameroon) Championship belt in an outstanding ladder match against Kirikou (who would later become his tag team partner) and winning the Pro Wrestling Africa Middleweight Championship, meaning he represented the entire continent as Middleweight Champion. The Wolf is still reigning as the PWA Middleweight Champion and he has now added a second title to his collection, a world championship sanctioned by an American company.

AAPW shared a live stream of their Heatwave event to their YouTube channel. You can check out the whole event here which features play by play commentary that isn’t featured in the first video of The Wolf’s match that was shared in this article.

While his AAPW World Championship win is a big one, it’s hard to imagine The Wolf will stop there. The new champion has big goals in sight, and it will be exciting to see what else will be coming The Wolf’s way during his time in the United States!
