‘’COVID-19 PROTOCOLS WILL BE STRICTLY OBSERVED DURING THE BATTLE OF YAOUNDE’’ – Olusesan Olukoya

The Secretary General of Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), Olusesan Olukoya, has emphasized that COVID 19 protocols and measures will be strictly observed and adhered to during the Battle of Yaoundé Pro Wrestling event. Olukoya is also an African pro wrestling manager, columnist, publisher, crusader and activist who has been propagating African pro wrestling to the world for over three decades and who has visited almost all the African nations that have a semblance of professional wrestling, likewise Europe and the USA.

‘’PWA is a continental organization seeing to the development and uplifting of the grunt and groan sport in Africa, which is the world’s second-largest and second-most populous continent, after Asia in both cases. The PWA is leaving no stone unturned to see that adherence to COVID 19 prevention measures are met at the Palais des Sports, the venue where the highly anticipated BATTLE OF YAOUNDE will be held on the 30th April, 2021 in Yaoundé, Cameroon’’ he explained.

He discovered that the key information for travelers to Cameroon is that travelers should avoid all nonessential travel to Cameroon. Lastly, all travelers should wear a mask, stay 6 feet from others, avoid crowds, and wash their hands.

He enjoined the teeming pro wrestling lovers coming to celebrate their wrestling heroes and idols to also key in to the measures and come to the arena in their masks and also wear the mask properly so as not to spread the COVID 19 pandemic. Olukoya has also advised the home based organizers of the pro-wrestling championship to get water and soap at the venue entrance for the fans to wash their hands and also to use hand sanitizers before coming in into the venue. We just have to try our best and prevent the pandemic from spreading. ”Though nonessential businesses are allowed to operate, and limits have been lifted on local public transportation in Cameroon, while schools are open but must adhere to strict health guidelines, all fans are required to wear facemasks” he explained.
