Alliance launched between Pro Wrestling Africa and Belgian pro wrestling promotion

History was made in Brussels, Belgium on Friday 15th March 2024 at the office of the Belgian professional wrestling organization as Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), the apex body of the professional wrestling sport in Africa, met with and signed a contract of working collaboration with the management of the Belgium Pro Wrestling Federation under the auspices of the legendary Congolese “Shaolin Showman” Simba Batote who runs the Belgium Wrestling Federation (BPWF) and the famous Brussels Young Wrestling Style (BYWS) the academy that produces the talents for Shaolin in Karate, Judo and professional wrestling.

Pro Wrestling Africa as an organization was inaugurated in Yaoundé, Cameroon on the 4th February 2015 and the continental body has really impacted the grunt and groan game in Africa as a force to be reckoned with. It is indeed for us at PWA a great pleasure to work with and partner with the first veteran to be inducted into the Belgian Wrestling Pantheon who is a figure in Brussels sport, a trainer of several generations of pro wrestlers in Africa and Belgium who was also a multiple champion in Congo, a former Lucha Libre champion, a former intercontinental champion and a former Belgian champion.

A working relationship agreement was signed which will enable PWA to bring pro wrestlers to Belgium for training, championship and international showcasing of talents. The Secretary General of Pro Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya, who met with and signed the agreement was super excited about this development and he said: “We at Pro Wrestling Africa that currently runs in 22 African nations have been looking for opportunities of this magnitude to showcase our talents to the world and this timely privilege is of paramount importance to us.”
